Experience all that Peru has to offer in this 20 day trip from the North to the South. Travel to majestic Lake Titicaca via Cusco. Then make your way to ancient Machu Picchu to experience one of the New Seven Wonders of the world. On the way to the Capital City - Lima, you will find yourself walking through the desert and encountering the Nazca Lines. End your vacation at Trujillo and some relax time on the beaches of Mancora.
DAY TO DAY
DAY 1 - Lima
On arrival in Lima you will be met at the airport by our representative and taken in private transport to your hotel. Your hotel will be located in Miraflores, close to restaurants and bars. The rest of the afternoon or evening you will have free time to unwind after your flight or maybe even do some initial discovering of this massive city.
DAY 2 - Lima
Today you will be picked up from your hotel for a half day city tour of Lima. You will visit the historic center with its colonial buildings and impressive plazas. See the Plaza San Martin and the Plaza de Armas with its Cathedral and Presidential Palace. Form here we will set course for San Isidro and Miraflores. We will visit parquet Los Olivos and the seaside neighborhood of Miralfores. From here you will be returned to your hotel. The rest of the day you could also visit some of the great museums or do some shopping.
DAY 3 - Lima - Ica
Today you will be picked up from your Lima hotel and taken to Ica, about 300Km south of Lima. Here you will be taken to your hotel. Ica is located in the Peruvian sand desert and is sunny almost the entire year. At 10 minutes from Ica you can find Huacachina, a true natural oasis surrounded by large sand dunes. The rest of the day is free to enjoy a buggy ride in the dunes or maybe even try some sandboarding on some of these impressive dunes.
DAY 4 - Ica - Ballestas Islands - Nazca Lines
In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel for a half day tour to the Ballestas Islands. These islands are known for its wildlife such as penguins, sea lions and hundreds of types of birds. With some luck one can even see whales here. After this excursion you will be returned to Ica from where you will continue to Nazca for your flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines. In the evening you will have your overnight VIP bus to Arequipa. Optionally you could also return to Lima and fly to Arequipa the next day.
DAY 5 - Arequipa
In the morning on arrival in Arequipa you will be picked up and taken to your hotel. The rest of the day you have free to acclimatize a bit to the altitude & discover this amazing city. The city is nicknamed the “White City” as it is made out of sillar, a type of white volcanic stone that is typical for the region. Visit the Plaza de Armas, the Santa Catalina Monastery and enjoy the views of the Misti Volcano towering up behind Arequipa.
DAY 6 - Colca Canyon
In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel for the start of your 2 day Colca Canyon adventure. You will drive through national parks and stop at several viewing points until you reach the small village of Chivay. Here you will be taken to your hotel. In the afternoon you can take a bath in the local volcanic thermal baths and optionally do some walking in the surroundings of this amazing place.
DAY 7 - Colca Canyon - Puno
After breakfast we will start the day with a drive along the left side of the canyon until we reach the “Cruz del Condor”. This viewing point is famous for its large number of condors living here and in the morning and afternoon using the thermal winds to float through the sky. With a bit of luck you will see these majestic animals floating just meters over your head. From here you can also appreciate the true magnitude of this canyon and the surrounding mountains. Hereafter we will return to Chivay from where we will continue to Puno. The drive to Puno will take you through a land of snowcapped peaks and highland pampas until you reach Lake Titicaca. In Puno you will be taken to your hotel.
DAY 8 - Lake Titicaca
Today you will have a full day tour on Lake Titicaca. In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the pier for your boat trip on this amazing lake. You will visit the floating Islands of Uros where people having been living for hundreds of years on artificial islands made of floating reed. From here we will “set sail” for Taquile Island. This island has several Inca sites and is known for its colorfully dressed local population. The view from here on the surrounding lake is an unforgettable sight.
DAY 9 - Puno - Cusco
Today you will be picked up from your hotel for your transfer to Cusco. This can be done with the VIP service stopping at several points of interest along the route or with the Andean Explorer Luxury train. Optional you can also fly to Cusco. On arrival in Cusco you will be met and taken to your hotel in the city centre.
DAY 10 - Cusco
Today you will be picked up for a half day Cusco city tour. You will not only visit the Cusco city center with its historic buildings but also the amazing Inca sites such as Sacsayhuaman and Tambomachay located just outside the city. The other half of the day you can use to visit some museums, do some shopping or just wander through this beautiful colonial center.
DAY 11 - Cusco - Sacred Valley
In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will start with a visit to Pisac market, without doubts one of the best artisan markets in South America. From here we will set course for Ollantaytambo, a small village located at the foot of some impressive ruins and more or less the gateway to Machu Picchu. At the end of the day you can either stay the night in the Sacred Valley or go back to Cusco to spend the night.
DAY 12 - Machu Picchu
In the early morning you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco or the Sacred Valleyand taken to the train station in Poroy or Ollantaytambo station for your train to Machu Picchu. On arrival in Aguas Calientes you will be taken to your hotel to drop your luggage before you will take the bus to the magical site of Machu Picchu itself. You will have a guided tour after which you will have some free time to discover this amazing site.
DAY 13 - Machu Picchu - Cusco
Today you may want to start early in order to catch the sun rise at Machu Picchu if the weather allows. You will have the entire day at the site, an ideal day to climb Huayna or Machu Picchu Mountain. In the afternoon you will have your return train to Cusco. You will be picked up and taken to your hotel.
DAY 14 - Cusco - Puerto Maldonado
In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the airport for your flight to Puerto Maldonado where your jungle adventure will commence. In Puerto Maldonado you will be picked up and taken to the river to embark by boat taking you to your lodge. On arrival in the lodge you will be welcomed and given a briefing regarding the lodge and the surrounding nature. In the evening you will have your first activity (normally a short walk around the area) before enjoying your first night in the jungle.
DAY 15 - Amazon Rainforest
Today will be a day full of jungle experiences. You will be woken in the early morning to take a boat ride on the river to a lake to see the morning wildlife in and around the lake. You will have some small walks in the jungle and be taken to a canopy tower to appreciate the surroundings and to see the jungle from a birds eye view. In the evening you will also have some optional activities before spending another night in your lodge.
DAY 16 - Puerto Maldonado - Lima - Trujillo
After breakfast you will be picked up at the lodge and by boat, taken back to Puerto Maldonado. From here you will be taken to the airport for your flight to Lima. In Lima you can than connect with a flight to the north, Trujillo. In Trujillo you will be picked up and taken to your hotel.
DAY 17 - Chan Chan
Today you will have a full day tour to the amazing site of Chan Chan located just outside of Trujillo. The site is the biggest archeological site in the world made out of adobe. From here you will also go the Huanchaco a nice fishing village close to Trujillo where you can still see the local fishermen on their “Caballitos” –small reed boats- riding the waves.
DAY 18 - Trujillo - Tumbes - Mancora
Today you will be taken to the airport in Trujillo for your flight to Tumbes in the far north of Peru. Here you will be met at the airport and taken to Mancora south of Tumbes. Mancora is known for its beaches that are among the best in Peru. The beaches also have great waves for surfing and kitesurfing.
DAY 19 - Mancora
This is a free day to enjoy the beach, the sun and relax at your hotel. Do some walking, eat some great seafood and maybe practice some surfing or even if you are feeling super adventurous there are always kite surfing lessons available and the days will fly by in this small paradise.
DAY 20 - Mancora - Lima
During the day you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the airport in Tumbes for your flight to Lima.

Full Day Chincheros, Maras & Moray
This full day tour starts in Cusco (optionally in the Sacred Valley) and takes you first to the Inca Ruins of Chincheros, one of the older villages between Cusco and the Sacred Valley. From here you will continue to Maras, one of the few Inca agricultural “laboratories”. This is a collection of unique Inca terraces built in a natural depression and served to make different crops resistant to different altitudes and climates. Finally we will take you to Moray, an open salt mine still in use today.
Full Day Lima Culinary Tour
This full day tour gives you the chance to get to know “the new culinary capital” of South America; Lima. You will visit a local market to do the shopping for the day. Later you will be assisted by a local family in making some of the Peruvian specialties and in the evening you will be taken to one of the great restaurants and bodegas in Lima.
